On the Edge of Wild

On the Edge of Wild

Our journey takes us to compelling

forks in the road.

A key diversion from my formal training

as a ceramic artist came in 1998, when

I embraced photography, thanks mainly

to my late father, Dr. John A. Bowers.

He took me on many National Geographic

voyages, where I was noticed

for my photography skills.

Shortly thereafter, a global image stock

agency Danita Delimont started picking up my work.

Then in 2020 and 2021, I landed on two

front covers of National Geographic

Magazine for Kids. Pursuing wildlife

images brought me to the edge of wild,

to all seven continents, and great joy.
